About Robin Major Marketing
The term marketing is commonly used loosely to mean promotion or advertising. But really it is so much more... Marketing is about understanding your
customers and adopting a marketing strategy that plays to your strengths. It is about positioning your brand so it is totally compelling.
Uncovering and meeting customer needs profitably has the potential to revolutionise your business. Just
imagine what it would be
like if you had a steady stream of profitable and rewarding customers. Unless you are a marketing specialist, the first step to making this dream a reality is to seek professional marketing
advice.

Who I Work With |
Based in Christchurch, I am an independent tertiary
qualified marketer. My clients are typically the owners of New Zealand businesses who want support from an external professional marketer. They come from a wide range of industries providing businesses and
consumers with tangible and intangible products via real world and online channels. What they all have in common is a desire for excellence and an understanding they need expert marketing assistance.
Some are looking for help with a special project such as introducing a new product to the market. Others simply require a fresh perspective on their marketing because they are too close to the subject and have lost perspective.
|
My Approach |
No two clients are the same so I do not have a 'cookie cutter' approach. Instead you can expect original thinking for your unique situation.
Every situation is different but my preference is to ensure each of my clients has addressed strategic marketing issues before investing money on advertising, web design, printing, signage and other marketing tools. This is not always practicable, but
from my experience I know the importance of being clear about your target market, why customers should choose you and how you are going to compete before spending your hard earned cash.
It may seem academic, but once these matters have been addressed the marketing tactics fall into place. Selecting the best marketing tools for your particular situation becomes much easier and is based on sound reasoning not hype and hope.
You know your business and industry better than anyone so to achieve the best possible results, you need to be prepared to really engage with me. Marketing is a team effort and like all high performance teams, there needs to be a good fit between the team
members. I encourage you to meet me for a free consultation before deciding whether to engage my services.
|
Terms of Engagement |
Rather than locking my clients into long term contracts with monthly fees, my preferred model of engagement is on a project basis. This gives you a low risk opportunity to work with me and see how well we perform.
Often I undertake a series of projects for clients and build a long term relationship based on trust and shared understanding.
|
People |
Different projects require different skill sets and expertise so when required, I work on an associate model, putting together the best fit team to work jointly on your project. Depending on what is required, the team could include other
marketers, web or graphic designers, event specialists, photographers, database specialists, video production houses and signage companies.
